Job Vacancy - Assistant Community Coach

We are delighted to be recruiting for the role of Assistant Community Coach on a 9-month paid placement.

Sitting within our Youth Engagement team, you will assist our Sport Development Officers and Lead Community Coaches in providing high quality PE and community sport in a variety of settings.

This role forms part of the EFL (English Football League) and NCS (National Citizens Service) year of service; aiming to provide 18 – 24 years old who are currently not In education, employment or training the opportunity to work within the Sport and Charity sector.

This role will include regular evening and weekend work and includes numerous opportunities to upskill through completing sector specific training. All applicants must be eligible as stated as above.

Key skills and responsibilities will include:

  • To assistant in delivering high quality PE and community sport within primary schools, outreach settings such as our PL Kicks session, disability setting such as our Titans session and occasionally Prison setting.
  • Supporting the team to plan, develop, and maintain an efficient schools and activity coaching programme
  • Adapt sessions to cater for different ranges of ability and development age. 
  • You will undertake administrative tasks associated with the post, including planning sessions, taking registers, consent forms and contacting clubs and schools.
  • To work with colleagues to extend knowledge and skills to identify and develop best practice
  • Dealing with enquiries and general day-to-day liaison with customers, colleagues, and partners
