This weekend sees Fit Rovers and Fit Forces participants, along with Club Doncaster Foundation staff members, take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
The group of 24 will leave the Eco-Power Stadium on Friday afternoon to travel to the Yorkshire Dales, before taking on the challenge on Saturday.
Consisting of the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, participants and staff will be aiming to complete the gruelling 24 mile challenge in under 12 hours, all to raise money for Club Doncaster Foundation.
Along with our fantastic participants, we’re very fortunate to have a sponsor for the event, in KAT Communications, a local Doncaster business.
Speaking of the event, Anthony Temperton of Kat said: “ We have supported Club Doncaster Foundation for many years and are delighted to be sponsoring the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
“The work the Foundation do in improving lives in the local community is fantastic and we are pleased to play a small part in their fundraising campaigns.”
Staff and participants will be kitted out in their own specially designed Fit Rovers 3 peaks top to wear during the event. As part of the sponsorship, KAT will be advertised on the front of the shirt, showcasing their sponsorship.
CEO, John Davis said: “This years Yorkshire Three Peaks event is our biggest yet and it has been made possible through our fantastic participants and KAT communications, who are sponsoring the event.
“We’ve worked with Anthony and the team on a number of projects and we’re delighted to secure their support for this year!”
There will be regular updates throughout Saturday, on The Foundation’s social media pages, tracking the progress of the group.
