Unbeaten in the group stages, they sailed through to the semi finals where they would comfortably knock out an excellent Chelsea FC side.
They sealed off a perfect day with a 1-0 win in the final against Exeter to be crowed national final winners by the EFL Trust.
Beaming with pride, teacher, Steve Morton said:
"What an incredible day and experience! I knew the group were a talented bunch back in April when we won the regional finals, but to go on and win the national finals is just simply outstanding - I am so proud of them. Just to represent Doncaster Rovers is an honour, so to win it, well, it just hasn't sunk in yet. They really are a fantastic set of lads and I know how hard they have worked for it, it's a great feeling. I must say a big thank you to Kelly and the team at Club Doncaster Foundation - their support has been first class and we were thrilled to share the day with them."
Captain, Nathan Gorst added:
"I can't describe this feeling! We all really dug deep for that and I'm so proud of the team. It was an amazing feeling to beat Chelsea in the semi-finals, we were all buzzing with that result obviously because of their reputation, so it was great we could keep our heads after that to do a job in the final too. We've had a wicked day and I'm really thankful to Club Doncaster Foundation for the opportunity."
512 school teams entered the competition, with the side now boasting the incredible status of best in the country.
