Latest Fit Fans cohorts lose combined total of 32 stone in 12 weeks

14 December 2020

Participants of the Foundation’s 17th men and 7th ladies Fit Rovers course have lost a combined total of 32 stone in just 12 weeks.

New lockdown restrictions imposed during week eight of the course meant that the sessions were moved online, a challenge that the Foundation’s Health and Wellbeing Officer Lauren Cuttell has praised the group for overcoming.

Lauren said: “Our Fit Rovers men and Fit Rovers Ladies participants have worked tirelessly throughout the course during difficult circumstances, adapting to the online sessions really well.

“The combined weight-loss totals are very impressive and show just how hard the group have worked during the course. We’re delighted for everyone involved and are hoping that they continue to lead a more active lifestyle.”

The men’s Fit Rovers course achieved a total weight loss of 17 stone 4lbs, with the women's losing a combined 14 stone 11lbs.

The programme also helped the group lost a combined waist circumference of 412cm.

Fit Rovers is Club Doncaster Foundation’s pioneering adult fitness course based at the Keepmoat Stadium.

A series of 12-week fitness courses are conducted throughout the year offering excellently delivered sessions and advice to work towards a healthier lifestyle.
