Foundation to host World Book Day activities on Saturday

Young Rovers fans in the Family Stand on Saturday can enjoy a variety of World Book Day themed activities run and organised by the Foundation.

WHSmiths are giving away book vouchers so that fans can purchase a book of their choice from their store in Donny Dog’s Kennel. This will open at the same time as the turnstiles.

There will be book prizes to win on all the usual Foundation shootout activities and young fans can take part in a very special story telling workshop hosted by author, illustrator and animator Phil Sheppard.

Phil joins us from the National Literacy Trust and will be onsite from 1.30pm. The workshop will begin at 2.15pm in Donny Dog’s Kennel.

The Book Bank has proved a huge success so far with supporters from across Club Doncaster’s elite teams donating children’s books to the project. You can show your support but donating new or nearly-new books at the designated drop-off point in the Family Stand or at the Club Store. Find out more details about the book bank here.
