Foundation thanks Trustees for incredible service

Club Doncaster Foundation recently held their annual AGM and with this said goodbye to two long serving trustees in the process. In line with the Foundations’ governance procedures Nigel Brewster and John Wallbank both stepped down as trustees following the completion of their terms in accordance with the organisations articles of association. With the organisation facing the uncertainty of a global pandemic, Nigel and John both opted into an additional year of service to support the organisation last year.

John Davis, Chief Executive commented: “I am immensely grateful to Nigel and John for the support and dedication they’ve shown to the organisation over the years. Both chose to extend their terms last year and haven’t missed a meeting or a call between them throughout this challenging time.

"On behalf of everyone at the Foundation I thank them for their remarkable service.”

At the meeting, Natalie Shaw QPM was confirmed as the new Chair of the organisation. Natalie joined the organisation following her role as Chief Super Intendent in the Police and was recently recognised in the Queens Honours list.

Upon her appointment to the role of Chair, Natalie commented: “I’m delighted to take up the role as Chair of the Foundation. The charity works hard to make a positive difference to the lives of local people from all backgrounds and to be a small part of this is an honour.”

 Upon Natalie’s appointment, John Davis commented: “Natalie has been on our board for a few years now and knows our organisation well. I look forward to working with her and our trustees as we support our community through the recovery of this pandemic.”
