Fit Rovers Mens and Ladies cohorts achieve 100% retention rate for first time since the course's inception.

03 September 2021
Our Fit Rovers Mens and Ladies participants have made history this week, as they become the first cohorts to graduate with a 100 percent retention rate since Fit Rovers first launched in February 2017.

As a result of the pandemic, various changes were made to the way that we deliver the courses, most notably the transformation of classes from physical to digital delivery.

However, despite the changes, the group's results have been hugely successful, with a total weight loss of 109KG achieved across the eight weeks.

“I am ecstatic that we have achieved a perfect sweep with all 30 men and 33 ladies graduating”, explained Foundation health and wellbeing Officer Lauren Cuttell.

“We’ve had to adjust our delivery throughout the pandemic, but, to the credit of the team, we’ve managed to keep sessions just as engaging as they usually are.

“The pass rate is testament to the attitude and determination of the group. They’ve worked relentlessly hard during difficult circumstances and can be very proud of what they’ve all achieved.

Following the completion of the courses, there has now been a total of 18 Fit Rovers mens groups and nine ladies, the majority of which are still engaging with the Fit Rovers programme through our Vets classes.

The Foundation would like to thank Doncaster CCG and Public Health Doncaster who help fund the Fit Rovers programme to ensure that we can continue to improve lives across Doncaster.
