Doncaster Kicks sessions to resume in September with new set of safety guidelines

28 August 2020

A new set of rules have been introduced to help participants at Doncaster Kicks keep safe when sessions resume in September.

The rules adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines and have been implemented to minimise the risk of spread of Covid-19.

From the first session back, each participant must pre-book a time slot, arrive in their kit, ensure they have no symptoms of the virus and travel only in their bubble.

Mark Cooper, Sport development officer at Club Doncaster Foundation, said: “We’re now in a position where we can resume Kicks delivery, which is fantastic news for our participants who I’m sure have missed the sessions since they were postponed due to Covid-19.”

“We’ve had to introduce a new set of guidelines to help keep people safe, it’s vital that these guidelines are followed but it means that we can get back on the pitch enjoying some sessions.

“I’m looking forward to getting started!”

Doncaster Kicks is a collection of free sporting sessions in Doncaster, giving children and young people aged 8-18 across the borough the opportunity to try free football sessions right on their doorstep.

Anyone interested in the free sessions can email Mark on mark.cooper@clubdoncasterfoundation.co.uk, or visit the Doncaster Kicks website, here.
