Doncaster Kicks launch home training programme to support player development during lockdown

28 January 2021

Doncaster Kicks have launched a new home training programme to help support player development throughout lockdown.

In the absence of physical Kicks sessions, the programme will give participants the opportunity to practice their skills and improve their fitness from the comfort of their own home.

“Over the coming weeks we will be engaging with our Kicks participants through their very own Kicks Home Training Programme”, explained Foundation sport development officer Mark Cooper.

“The programme will focus on the whole player development and encourages participants to call friends, exercise regularly, set goals and take part in a variety of technical challenges.

“We hope this programme will promote physical and mental well being through these tough times.”

The programme focuses on five key foundations; physical, tactical, psychological, technical and social, and will be supported by weekly challenge videos from the Foundation’s community team.

Prizes will be issued to the participants who complete the most sessions each week.
