On Thursday 5th December, organisations across Doncaster will get the opportunity to attend a breakfast networking event, to hear about how Club Doncaster Foundation are planning to work with organisations within the city, to improve workplace wellbeing.
Formed from initial pilot work over the last year, the course is aimed at businesses that don’t currently have a workplace health offer, or those that would like to develop their existing provision and the networking event will give those in attendance, more information on how they can implement this project into their own business.
The Foundation CEO, John Davis commented, “We know we’ve been able to change behaviours of people across Doncaster, that has led to positive wellbeing benefits.
“The workplace is a natural next step for us and we want to speak with a wide range of organisations to develop this initiative.”
In the initial pilot phase, the Foundation have worked with the Get Doncaster Moving team at City of Doncaster Council to ensure the pilot approach aligns to the wider efforts to increase physical activity across the City.
Lauren Cuttell, Community Manager said: “We’re really excited to be able to officially launch this new course within Doncaster.
“The last year has given us the opportunity to run a pilot course to make sure we’re able to create and frame something that will benefit those within workplaces and taking our award winning projects into the community once again.
“Those attending the network event will get the opportunity to find out more about what the course entails, how it can benefit their employees and be among one of the first organisations to have the course delivered within their workplace.
“We’re always looking at ways in which we can make a positive impact to people’s lives across Doncaster and this expansion of our Fit Rovers courses, will continue to do just that.”
