The Foundation have being spreading festive cheer to children across Doncaster in the lead up to Christmas, handing out a range of presents.
Alongside supporting the annual Club Doncaster hospital visit with teddy bears and small toys, children in attendance at the Rovers Cares christmas holiday camp this week, also received gifts to take home with them.
The Foundation’s IT support partner, Jibba Jabba have once again contributed towards the toys purchased, to ensure we can distribute gifts to more children this Christmas.
Ashley Harris, Director at Jibba Jabba spoke of supporting the initiative: “It’s an honour and privilege that we can help Club Doncaster Foundation to bring a smile to children at this time of the year.
“It’s more important this year with everyone going through tough times.
“Thank you to The Foundation for arranging this, and for all their efforts throughout the entire year.”
Doncaster Rovers first team players also lent a helping hand in the wrapping and distributing of presents for participants earlier this month. Rovers trio, Kyle Hurst, Charlie Seaman and Max Woltman assisted in the wrapping workshop alongside Foundation staff members to ensure every toy was wrapped and ready to go, while Jon Taylor and Tom Anderson gave presents to participants attending the Club Doncaster Titans annual christmas party, even joining in with some of the festive games!
A range of presents and food parcels were also donated to long term partner PFG (People Focused Group), where they will be distributed to referred families over the festive season.
CEO of The Foundation, John Davis said: “With people across Doncaster needing our support more than ever, it has been fantastic to work again with Ash and the team at Jibba Jabba to provide more presents to children and families across Doncaster.
“They’re a longstanding partner of our charity and are a brilliant example of an organisation giving back to their local community.”
We would like to wish all of our partners, participants and friends of The Foundation, a very merry christmas and a happy new year!
