Our annual ‘Snooze in the South’ event is returning once again and we want as many people as possible to get involved in our fundraising event, helping to support those both in our community and nationwide.
Over 40 people were in attendance last year, with an incredible £8,000 raised through fundraising and donations and this year, we’re wanting even more people to come along and experience a night in the Eco-Power Stadium and help support us once again.
Taking place on Friday 21st March, those who sign up for the event will settle down for the night in the south stand, braving the elements and experiencing what a number of individuals in the community and across the nation go through on a daily basis.
The event will run from 7pm to 7am and those wanting to get involved with the event can register and secure their place at a cost of £20 and must aim to raise a minimum of £100. Please note, this event is for those aged 18 and over.
Phoebe Sneddon, Fundraising & Events Officer, who runs the event, said: “We were delighted with how many people were in attendance last year and the funds we raised from the event.
“This year, we want even more people to get involved so we can raise more awareness and more funds to support those in need.
“It’s a challenging event, facing the elements, but gives you a real sense of what some people have to face on a daily basis around the country and in our local community too.
“Come get involved and help play your part in continuing to support the work we do and making a difference to people’s lives.”
