Club Doncaster Foundation kick-start 2025 with successful winter holiday camp

The new year kicked off here at Club Doncaster Foundation with our sell-out winter holiday camp, Fuelled by the Foundation, supported by the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

One of the biggest attended holiday camps to date, saw over 50 children attend the 4-hour long camp on both Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd January, to get involved with some fun after the festivities. 

Those who attended took part in a whole range of activities, from football tournaments, team activities, dodgeball, rounders and fun skill games, giving them the opportunity to work on their own individual skills. 

The second day also saw children trial a brand new activity. Utilising the concourse at the Eco-Power Stadium, a mini racetrack was created with turns, chicanes added in, lots of energy and 5 go-karts and lots of competitive spirit, the relay races took place, following team groups creating their own racing badges during their lunch hour. 

Children were also provided with a healthy lunch for both days.

Mason Fairclough said, “It’s always great to host these camps down here at the stadium, utilising the facilities and getting children active prior to them heading back to school. 

“It gives them the chance to see some of their friends and get some exercise in too.

“We always get great feedback from both parents and children about how fun the camps are and our coaches love delivering a variety of activities.”
