CHRISTMAS CAMP PROVIDES LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN WITH TWO DAYS OF FESTIVE FUN DURING THE HOLIDAY

The Foundation have conluded the two day Christmas Holiday Camp, where over 60 local children have enjoyed fun and inclusive activities at the Eco Power Stadium. 

With a special focus on educational and physical activities, particpants have benefitted from healthy eating sessions, multi-skills sessions and active numeracy, amongst more traditional activities including archery, festive baking and football. 

Doncaster Stories and the Literacy Trust generously donated Roy of The Rovers comic books for the camp, in which staff incorporated them into a comic book workshop.
Children were tasked with creating their own super hero illustrations and could take a copy of Roy of The Rovers home with them. 

The Camp, which was free to all children, provided lunch on both days and food to take away. 

Mustafa Haider, Sports Development Officer, commented, "A fantastic way to round of the year at The Foundation, the children have thoroughly enjoyed the activities over the last two days."

The two-day camp was concluded with a visit from Donny Dog, who delivered each child a present courtesy of Foundation partner, Jibba Jabba.
