A total of 98 Fit Rovers Veterans returned for the first set of socially-distanced sessions this week.
A range of socially-distanced activities, including group workouts and football, were held at the Keepmoat Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday.
The sessions were governed by strict distancing rules and enrolment protocol that adhere to the government advice and guidlines.
Nick Gillott, health and wellbeing manager at the Foundation, has welcomed the return to the stadium.
He said: “We’ve had to make some adjustments to ensure we’re following distancing guidance, but the important thing is that we’ve got people back together at the Keepmoat enjoying some sessions and socialising.
“It’s helping alleviate some of the feeling of loneliness that have been caused by the pandemic, and that social interaction side of the sessions is massively important to everyone who comes along.
“It was a fantastic turnout and we’re looking forward to a gradual return to sessions during the coming weeks and months.”
