Role: Charity Trustee (Fundraising Lead)

Club Doncaster Foundation is a unique charity, which sits at the heart of three professional sports teams, inclusive of Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Dons RLFC and Doncaster Rovers Belles LFC. We work with a wide range of partners to provide positive activity interventions and opportunities to anyone in the Doncaster community and surrounding areas. We use the facilities of the professional sports clubs and community stadium to challenge lifelong habits, inspire positive change and motivate sustained participation in sport, physical activity, training and education. Last year we supported over fifteen thousand individuals across our programmes.

As we look to innovate and drive the charity forward, Club Doncaster Foundation are now looking for a trustee with a fundraising specialism, or experience to support us in our next phase of development.  

We are looking for a dynamic, engaged individual who will provide leadership and experience, as well as challenge. 

The key responsibilities of our trustees are as follows:

• To support the trustee board in overseeing the governance of the charity, ensuring it is run in the long-term interests of the Foundation.
• To ensure that policies set by the Foundation support the vision, mission and strategic priorities and objectives.
• To ensure that the Foundation considers and approves the methods for measuring objectively the progress and impact of the charity in relation to its vision, mission, strategic objectives/priorities, business plans and annual targets.
• To ensure that the charity has a governance structure that is appropriate to a charity of its size.
• To ensure that the charity’s financial dealings are systematically accounted for, audited and publicly available.
• To ensure that the major risks to which the charity is exposed have been reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate these risks without the charity becoming totally risk averse.
