Support Club Doncaster's Christmas campaign this weekend v Cheltenham Town

03 December 2024

This festive season, you can support Club Doncaster’s Christmas campaign at this weekend’s Doncaster Rovers fixture against Cheltenham Town.

We’re encouraging fans to bring items to the game, to help support us in making sure no-one goes without a present this Christmas.

Items can include:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Items of clothing, such as hats, gloves, scarfs & socks
  • Toys

These items can be brought to the drop off point, outside the Belle Vue Bar, from 1pm until just before kick off, where a member of staff will collect these from you.

You can also support us by donating money, to help us purchase more items for the care packages. The Foundation’s committee members will be on hand around the stadium footprint, pre-match and at half time within the concourses, with buckets for any donations.

Don’t want to bring cash to the game, or aren’t attending on Saturday? You can make a donation to the Foundation by following the link here.

So what impact will your donation make?

  • A £10 donation could provide 10 people with a pair of socks and gloves this winter

  • A £20 donation could provide sanitary products and nappies to over 20 women and babies

  • A £50 donation could provide over 25 children a book to read this Christmas

  • A £100 donation could provide 10 families with a care package

There is also the opportunity to nominate someone, whether that’s another fan, family member or someone in the local community, to receive a care package this festive season (subject to availability). These will be distributed accordingly, alongside support from partners from across Club Doncaster. You can nominate someone here.

It’s not just care packages though! Any toys donated will help support the ‘Bus full of Christmas’ club campaign too.

Each Christmas our club along with the first team manager and several players across Rovers, Dons and Belles visit Doncaster Royal Infirmary to deliver presents for children and it’s something everyone involved loves doing.

However, this year we wanted to go even bigger and that’s where a bus full of Christmas comes in, a collaboration with several of our 100Club partners.

First Bus are providing the bus, Crown Hotel Bawtry and Fish Bits are acting as drop-off points along with the Eco-Power Stadium, C&K Decorators are involved in collections and finally the good people of Doncaster are providing the children’s gifts.

Together the plan is simple, fill the bus full of presents for us to distribute to not only the hospital this year, but Foster for Doncaster and Eve’s Trust too.

Together we can put more smiles on more children’s faces this Christmas.

Donated gifts to be unwrapped and suitable for children up to the age of 16.

Phoebe Sneddon, The Foundation’s Fundraising & Events Officer, who's heading up the Christmas Care Packages said, "Christmas is such a special time for many people, but sometimes it's not always the case for everyone.

"This festive season, we want to ensure that those less fortunate, receive a gift on Christmas Day.

"Through your donations we'll be able to purchase a variety of items to put our Christmas Care Packages together and put smiles on faces of those within the city of Doncaster."

Shaun Lockwood, Rovers’ Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We’d love to have as many people get involved with the Christmas campaigns, whether that’s through donating to the campaign or nominating someone to receive a gift.

“Any donation to the campaign is greatly appreciated. Having everyone come together during the festive period, will allow us to put smiles on many faces across Doncaster and the wider community.”

Any support, whether it's big or small, is massively appreciated and will help support our aim to ensure nobody will wake up on Christmas Day without a gift.
