Club Doncaster Sports College student, Memphis Jubb is balancing her studies at the Keepmoat Stadium with life as a RFL Women’s Super League rugby player.
The 17 year old is a regular starter for the Bulls, who are playing to defend their Super League champion status, after winning the double last season.
Memphis plays weekly against the likes of Leeds Rhinos and York City Knights, whilst continuing to study her Active IQ Level 2 Diploma in Active Leisure with Club Doncaster Sports College.
Tutor, Sarah Palmer commented: “It’s always fantastic to see a student get involved in a sport outside of college, and even better when it’s such a high standard, she’s doing really well to balance the two aspects of her life.
“Memphis applies herself excellently in the classroom, so it’s a proud moment to see her outstanding attitude is reflected in her sport as well.”
The selection process at the Bulls is a tough one, with the squad being announced weekly, so Memphis has to be committed to her training in order to win her shirt.
The top four teams at the end of the season will then enter into the semi-final play-offs, with first place playing fourth and second playing third, before the Women’s Super League Grand Final on Saturday, October 13 at the Manchester Regional Arena, Etihad Campus.
