Students studying at the Keepmoat Stadium enjoying success in BUCS League.

28 February 2020

Students studying sport degree programmes at the Keepmoat Stadium as part of a partnership between Club Doncaster Sports College and University Centre Doncaster are enjoying success in the BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) League.

The team, who play their home games at the Club Doncaster Sports Park, are currently second in their division, with a chance of gaining promotion going into the final weeks of the year.

The players join other degree-level students from University Centre Doncaster in taking part in fixtures every Wednesday afternoon against teams from across the region.

Head Coach Haydn Goddard said: "It’s great for the students to be able to enjoy playing at this level alongside working hard on their studies.  The camaraderie in the group is excellent and will serve us well going into what should be an exciting end to the season."

The partnership allows students to study Sports Science or Physical Education and Coaching degrees across both Doncaster College and University Centre campus and the Club Doncaster Sports College campus at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Students are able to study in high-quality educational and professional sporting facilities as well being able to have full access to the support services provided by both Colleges.
