NCS Summer Job Vacancies

09 January 2019

What are you up to this coming Summer? Club Doncaster Foundation are looking for motivated individuals to join our NCS team to influence and mentor young people as seasonal staff.

National Citizens Service (NCS) is a once in a lifetime opportunity available to 15-17 year-olds in England and Northern Ireland, recognised by UCAS and employers, designed to give young people the best springboard for their future.

Since 2013, 2,819 young people have taken part in the Foundation's NCS programmes, dedicating more than 86,000 hours to social action and community projects.

Over 100 dedicated members of Foundation NCS staff have helped make this happen. You could join us and help make our NCS programme even better this summer.

Apply now and gain new skills that employers will love. See our current vacancies at the bottom of this page.

We have opportunities across England between June and August 2019. As a minimum, you’ll need to be available for three weeks during this period, but you may be able to work up to nine if you want! You could even get involved with keep-warms and graduation ceremonies at other times of the year.

So whether you want to lead, mentor, support or inspire on the programme, we’ll have a job for you this summer.

Please note, you must be available to attend an assessment evening on either:

  • February 18
  • February 19
  • February 20

The programme is split into three distinct parts:

Phase One:

Adventure

Phase Two:

Discovery

Phase Three:

Social Action

You will go away with your team for four nights and five days for outdoor adventure, new challenges and team-building.

This is the part of the programme where the young people learn new skills and get to know the community better.

You will support your team design and implement a project that will make a real difference to their local community.

Not sure where to start? We have a range of roles on offer in 2019.

 Assistant Team Leader

Already have experience of working with young people? This mid-level role will give you the opportunity to build on your experience. Manage & support a team of young people, ensuring they are guided through the programme, including attending a keep warm event and mentoring the team through their social action project.
