Job vacancy - Youth worker

We have an exciting opportunity to deliver youth provision across two community focused organisations. Housed by our Foundation, you'll also be working with our key partners the People Focused Group, coordinating and supporting youth work across our delivery sites. This is a brand new role and we are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join the team and lead on a number of new and existing youth focused projects.

The role will embed youth work activities and principles into programmes spanning across both organisations, further developing our partnership work across Doncaster. This position is open to candidates with backgrounds in Youth Work, Sport, Education, Mentoring, Behaviour support and SEN delivery.

Roles and responsibilities

  • To support the planning & delivery of the youth engagement programmes including but not limited to those with SEN needs, disengaged in education, at risk of involvement in anti-social behaviour or violence, and residential projects.
  • To deliver youth engagement provision through various methods such as classroom based, outreach and one-to-one mentoring.
  • To promote our various youth engagement programmes through schools and partners.
  • To work with the YEM to develop fun, engaging and innovative programme timetables, events and activities.
  • To work alongside the football and rugby league clubs to promote health, education and inclusion in a positive way to the wider community
  • To build and maintain relationships with key local partners to embed pathways across Doncaster.
  • Support all administrative and monitoring processes relating to the assigned projects by ensuring all data is recorded accurately on the relevant data management system (inclusive of but mot limited to salesforce etc.)

Qualifications

Essential

  • Evidence of formal education detailing a good level of general education.
  • Hold a Current FA Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Level 2 Youth Work Qualification
  • Level 2 mentoring qualification
  • Hold a range of coaching qualifications in various sports
