Club Doncaster Sports College students are celebrating another incredible year of success with a 99.1% pass rate and a 93% achievement rate across all sports qualifications.
122 FE students contributed to a 97.2% pass rate and a 90% achievement ratefor all academic courses in 17/18; with results for all sports courses above the national average.
With the first of the degree students set to complete their BSC (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science next year, the Sports College, based at the Keepmoat Stadium, continues to flourish.
Principal, Adi Turnpenny commented: “Club Doncaster Sports College continues to set the standard and is one of the best places for young people to study sport in the region.
“The results this year are a credit to the hard work of the students and the outstanding staff that support them.
“The College is approaching its tenth anniversary and we are extremely proud of the work we are doing here at our Stadium for Education.
“I’d like to wish all graduates the best of luck in the future and we look forward to welcoming our new students in September."
Club Doncaster Sports College departments have achieved 7.1% above the national rate in our Diploma in Health and Fitness qualifications and 9.1% above for the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport qualifications.
All first year level 2 students haveattained qualified Gym Instructor status and all second year students have become accredited Personal Trainers as part of their courses.
Alongside the academic programmes, students represent Doncaster Rovers and the Dons RLFC in national leagues, as well as experiencing a host of other sports.
Student Emma Tuck who achieved D* D* D*, the highest grade which can be achieved at BTEC, said: “‘I’m delighted with my results and looking forward to studying my first choice Degree. I’m really grateful for all the support I‘ve received from the tutors and everyone at the College.”
