Students from the Club Doncaster Sports College Men’s Academy 1 enjoyed a memorable day at Wembley Stadium as they collected the North Central Division 1 trophy following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign.
The squad attended the prestigious EFL awards event in Wembley’s renowned Centre Circle restaurant, where they were treated to a complimentary breakfast and refreshments before the celebrations began. The players were then introduced onto the stage by Sky Sports presenter Adam Smith as they proudly collected their league title.
Dressed smartly in Doncaster Rovers club ties, the students were exemplary ambassadors for both the college, the city and Club Doncaster throughout the event. Their professionalism and conduct reflected the outstanding culture that has been built within the academy setup.
Following the awards ceremony, the students took their seats on the halfway line to watch an unforgettable League One Play-Off Final, with Bolton Wanderers securing an emphatic 4-1 victory.
The trip to Wembley marked a fitting celebration for a group that has demonstrated exceptional resilience, commitment and togetherness across the season.
Assistant Principal, Ben Thompson praised the achievements of the squad and coaching staff.
“All staff and students at the college are immensely proud of the achievements of our Men’s Academy over the 2025/26 season. Their resilience and strong team bond typify the excellent culture set by their coaches, Courtney and Will.
“This experience is something the lads will hopefully remember forever and they deserve all the plaudits that come with winning the EFL CEFA League.”
Everyone at Club Doncaster Foundation would like to congratulate the players and staff from Club Doncaster Sports College on a fantastic season and a truly deserved league title.
