Club Doncaster Sports College were crowned champions of the EFL CEFA League at the end of May and on Saturday August 24, they were presented with their trophy by striker Alfie May.
The CEFA league is a competition is an EFL Trust run league which caters for teams put forward by EFL club’s charity arms.
Rovers is represented by the Club Doncaster Sports College who were pushed all the way by the team from Blackburn Rovers but ultimately a 22-0 win over Preston North End at the Keepmoat Stadium created an unsurmountable goal difference between Rovers and the rest of the field.
Ahead of kick-off against Lincoln City, the college side were able to walk on the pitch the cheers of the 10,000 strong crowd as they were presented their medals and trophy.
Club Doncaster College principal Adi Turnpenny said: “It was great for the students to celebrate their EFL CEFA League win in front of a big crowd and have Alfie May present them with the trophy.
“The Club Doncaster Sports College students work hard all year in the classroom and our academies provide fantastic sporting experiences alongside this.
“We are proud of the students for representing Club Doncaster so well in this EFL competition.”
