Be part of the movement, with free spaces for the Doncaster 10K

10 June 2026

There’s nothing quite like the electric atmosphere of the Doncaster 10K. It’s an event that’s full of shared purpose and camaraderie, the sort of experience that stays with you long after the day is over. But beyond that, it serves as a fantastic fundraiser for a wide range of local and regional charities, with hundreds of runners supporting causes close to their hearts.

This year, not only is loyal supporter Mark Johnson running to raise funds for the Foundation, but we are also thrilled to announce that we have 10 free spaces up for grabs, courtesy of event organisers, Curly’s Athletes! So, why not follow in Mark’s footsteps and challenge yourself whilst embracing our mantra of being more physically active, all while raising vital funds for our pivotal support programmes?

If you’ve been entertaining the idea of taking part in an organised event or run for some time and want to turn it into something positive not only for yourself, but for hundreds of vulnerable individuals in Doncaster, this is your chance.

All we ask is that you try to raise a minimum of £100 for the Foundation. Just £100! And that will pay for 3 dementia sufferers and their carers to attend a Remembering Rovers session, 4 youngsters to receive youth mentoring, 7 people to attend our cancer support programme, 4 veterans to receive the support they need, 10 new mums to gain guidance and advice as they navigate parenthood, or 20 older or isolated people to attend a Walk and Talk session.

There’s a special kind of pride that comes from knowing every step, every mile, every moment of effort is helping to open doors for people across Doncaster: supporting young people to thrive, empowering communities to grow stronger, and creating opportunities for those who need them most. This is more than just crossing a finish line or ticking a box, it’s becoming part of something bigger, something genuinely life changing.

And what better way to raise funds for local people than by taking part in a local event? Famous for its fantastically flat route that is perfectly suited to first timers, the Doncaster 10K starts and finishes at the Racecourse, where music and entertainment help set the atmosphere, and a grandstand finish enables spectators to cheer from stadium-style seating.

Not only will you receive a medal to commemorate the experience, but you’ll also enjoy a well-earned pie and hot chocolate at the finish. And for the nervous runners, fear not; there are plenty of toilets en route! Plus, we can promise you’ll be absolutely blown away by the support on the day, with cheer stations aplenty lining the course.

Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis. If you’re interested in taking part, please contact louise.power@clubdoncasterfoundation.co.uk.
