BALBY CARR KICKS CHAMPIONS

The side represented Doncaster Rovers and faced the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United and Derby County in the small sided tournament. 

Finishing 2nd in the group stages, Rovers went on to beat Patrick Thistle in the semi finals and Derby County in the final, victorious on both occasions via a penalty shoot out.

Kicks Coordinator, Mark Cooper commented:

"It was a fantastic experience for the lads to travel to Newcastle and play against the likes of Man City, and it was even better that we came home with the trophy. The lads that travelled turn up up to every kicks session on an evening and put so much hard work in, so it was a great reward for them to win the cup. A special mention must go to Andrei our keeper, who didn't concede a penalty all tournament, and saved all the pens in the semi-finals and finals to win us the trophy!"
