Club Doncaster Foundation were proud to showcase a typical day at the organisation on Tuesday, as part of the EFL’s Day of Action.
Seven areas of delivery were highlighted on the day to emphasise the strong community presence the team have, as well as the launch of the Kicks Challenge hosted by Doncaster Rovers players.
The highlight of the day was community favourite, Matty Blair’s visit to Auckley Primary School. The midfielder was joined by Sky Sports, who were keen to know more about his role in the community and what an impact Club Doncaster Foundation makes.
Matty said:
“It’s fantastic to be involved in such a great project; I always enjoy community visits, I get out as much as they do from them. Today I’ve been having a laugh and a kick around with the kids and just joining in with their sports session. The Club Doncaster Foundation coaches do a great job day to day with so many sessions like this one, so it’s great I can give back and help them out a bit.”
From Plymouth to Peterborough and Sunderland to Southend, all 72 EFL clubs showcased the innovative and ground breaking work they do for young people on Tuesday.
Between them, they tackled some of the biggest issues in society across education, health, community inclusion and participation.
