Sports College student flying for country
Club Doncaster Sports College student, Bex Rayner has just returned from international duty with the England U19s.
The young footballer travelled to Kazakhstan for ten days with the rest of her teammates for the European Qualifiers.
Impressing on her debut, Bex found the back of the net in a fantastic 9-0 victory over the Central Asian side.
Bursting with pride, Bex said: “It’s probably the best feeling I’ve ever had scoring for my country, I can’t explain it.”
“It’s a bit nerve racking to play for England but as soon as you step on the pitch you just concentrate on winning and it goes away.”
Bex will have to balance her studies again this month as she flies to Finland for a friendly fixture.
She continued: “I’m really excited I have another opportunity to make people proud and go and have fun.”
“I feel like it’s something I have worked for all my life, it was always my goal to play for England and now all my hard work has paid off.”
All at Club Doncaster Foundation would like to wish Bex the best of luck in her next game.
