Kicks represent Rovers

As Doncaster Rovers pulled on their boots to face Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night, their Kicks programme counter parts were getting ready for a battle of their own.

The group also headed to the DW Stadium to face the Latics before they received complimentary tickets to watch the first team in action afterwards.

Despite the result on the night, the participants were thrilled about their trip and at the chance to represent their local side.

Kicks Coordinator, Mark Cooper commented: “It’s always a fantastic day out when we link with other clubs and create a great experience for the lads.

Last month we held a competition for the Kicks participants from across the borough and the group that went to Wigan were the winners, so the brilliant trip was well received."

He continued: "I'd just like to thank all the staff at Wigan for all their help on the day."
