It’s no secret that men across Doncaster have thrived under the Fit Rovers programme, losing an incredible 50 stone between them.
One man in particular that has contributed heavily to that loss is Darren Greaves, who has shed an astonishing 3st 10lb since the beginning of his journey.
Darren has maintained the lifestyle changes encouraged by the team at Club Doncaster Foundation and continues to exercise regularly at the follow on group, Fit Rovers Vets.
“I could not have done this without Fit Rovers. I was stuck in a bit of rut to be honest, just sat on the sofa each night with very little motivation.” Darren said.
“The guys at Fit Rovers could not have done more to support me through my journey and it really is down to their motivation and advice that I’m where I am now; I’ve lost three and a half stone and I’m now in the best shape I have been for the last 15 years, it’s incredible.”
Course facilitator, Scott Copeland is proud of each of the participants that filter through the course, especially Darren who has now shrunk his waist circumference by 14cm.
Scott commented: “Darren has achieved results that I’m sure he could have only dream about before attending Fit Rovers. It gives us all great satisfaction to see the transformation he has made and how he has used the course to trigger such life changing results.”
“Darren attended one of our first courses and really personifies everything we wanted from a “Fit Rover”. Since completing the course he has been a regular at our follow on veterans sessions and plays a pivotal role in organising these while making sure new veterans are seamlessly intergraded into the group.”
“Fit Rovers is not a magic wand, and results are by no means guaranteed and on behalf of everyone at Fit Rovers I would like to congratulate Darren on his results, it is nothing more than he deserves for his attitude and commitment.”
“As we approach our final course of 2017 this seems the perfect opportunity to not only congratulate Darren but everyone who has joined the course since we started in January. We are confident that we can maintain this success in 2018 and look forward to welcoming new Fit Rovers.”
