Family open day real treat

Doncaster Rovers were proud to host their family open day yesterday as part of their spooktacular festival of fun.

Families across Doncaster enjoyed a miniature petting zoo, Donny Dog’s kennel filled with activities and challenges hosted by Club Doncaster Foundation.

There to join them on their afternoon of fun were the Rovers first team, who were on hand to lead stadium tours, join in the activities and of course sign any merchandise.

Delighted with the afternoon, CEO of the Foundation, Jim Lord commented: “Everyone at Club Doncaster Foundation is incredibly proud to play a part in fantastic events such as the family orientated open day and the Big Bang here at the Keepmoat Stadium. We hope that fun events like these really showcase the impact we aim to have on peoples’ lives right across our community.”

Each department of the foundation provided an activity for the day, including the schools department who led coaching sessions and the health and wellbeing team who introduced turbo trainers to excited fans.

The event formed part of Doncaster Rovers’ spooktacular festival of fun, which included a half term filled with coaching camps, activities and player visits.

The finale kicks off tonight at the Keepmoat Stadium where the Big Bang firework show will fill the sky with colour.

Families can enjoy a fun fair, a laser show, fireworks and much more, starting at 5pm at the Keepmoat Stadium.
